1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to MatchBet Golf. By accessing or using our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Eligibility

To use MatchBet Golf, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be legally able to enter into binding contracts
• Reside in a jurisdiction where social golf wagering is permitted
• Have a valid GHIN handicap or equivalent official handicap
• Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information as needed
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or contain inaccurate information.

4. Service Description

MatchBet Golf is a platform that:

• Connects golfers with similar handicaps for head-to-head match play
• Facilitates communication between matched players
• Tracks match results and maintains lifetime statistics
• Displays leaderboards based on match performance
• Allows users to coordinate friendly wagers on their matches

5. Match Fees and Pricing

MatchBet Golf charges the following fees:

• Match Fee: $1.99 per confirmed match (charged to each player)
• New User Bonus: First 2 matches are free for new users

Fees are non-refundable once a match is confirmed and locked. Match fees are separate from any wagers arranged between players.

6. User Conduct

You agree to use the Service responsibly and not to:

• Provide false handicap information or misrepresent your skill level
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to manipulate match results or leaderboards
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
• Share your account credentials with others
• Scrape, copy, or harvest data from the Service
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use automated systems or bots to access the Service

7. Match Rules and Etiquette

7.1 Handicap Verification

Users must provide an accurate GHIN handicap. We may verify handicaps through the USGA GHIN system. Falsifying handicap information is grounds for immediate account termination.

7.2 Match Confirmation

Both players must confirm match details before the match is locked. Once locked, both players are committed to the match.

7.3 Result Reporting

After completing a match, both players must confirm the result. Disputed results should be resolved directly between players. Repeated false reporting may result in account suspension.

7.4 Wager Settlement

Users are solely responsible for arranging and settling wagers between themselves. MatchBet Golf does not guarantee, enforce, or participate in wager settlements.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by MatchBet Golf and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission
• Use our trademarks without prior written consent
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code

9. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (profile photos, messages, etc.). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Results from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
• Other users will fulfill their obligations
• Wagers between users will be honored or settled

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MATCHBET GOLF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Disputes or losses arising from wagers between users
• Actions or omissions of other users
• Any damages exceeding the amount you paid to us in the past 12 months

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MatchBet Golf, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Wagers or disputes with other users

13. Dispute Resolution

13.1 Between Users

Disputes between users regarding matches, results, or wagers should be resolved directly between the parties. MatchBet Golf is not responsible for mediating or resolving user disputes.

13.2 With MatchBet Golf

Any dispute with MatchBet Golf shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Class action lawsuits and class-wide arbitrations are not permitted.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Repeated complaints from other users
• Any reason at our sole discretion with notice

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MatchBet Golf regarding use of the Service.

19. Additional Terms for Apple Users

If you access the Service through an Apple device:

• These Terms are between you and MatchBet Golf, not Apple
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support
• Apple is not responsible for any claims related to the app
• Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms
